“A song is a small piece that can make you think but, unfortunately, cannot replace thinking,” said Wojciech Młynarski. He portrayed his contemporaries in over 3,500 songs, creating a chronicle of Poland and Poles. His famous songs such as W Polskę idziemy, Niedziela na głównym, Róbmy swoje or Jeszcze w zielone gramy still remain the most accurate and painfully valid depictions of Poland. The most beautiful of his songs are revived in previously unknown archive materials, photos and music videos, some of which have been specially produced for the film. But Młynarski. The Final Song is first and foremost the last very personal and sincere interview with the title character. The film is complete with over 30 accounts of his closest friends and family members, the people with whom and for whom he created his works: outstanding composers, actors and singers. Those incredibly honest and uncensored stories about Wojciech Młynarski build up a portrait of an exceptional artist, but also of a man of conflicting drives, struggling with human weaknesses.
