DESCRIPTION

A romantic, yet artistically fulfilled “film about film”, a melodrama by the Japanese master Naomi Kawase set in filmmakers’ community. Misako describes objects, feelings, and the world that surrounds them with a genuine passion. She works in audio description, creating subtitles for films meant to be read out loud for blind and visually impaired viewers. During a screening, the girl meets a famous camera operator, Masaya, whose eyesight is irreversibly deteriorating. The man who loses his light and the woman who chases it both realize they feel a fiery passion for one another.
