DESCRIPTION

The penultimate film by Alain Resnais, master of the French New Wave, author of such masterpieces as Hiroshima, My Love and Last Year at Marienbad. You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet can be interpreted as a perverse goodbye to the audience. After the death of an eminent playwright Antoine d’Anthac, actors who once played in his Eurydyce gather in the artist’s house, as per his last will, to watch footage containing a new interpretation of this play by a certain theater group. The film combines the classic with the contemporary, the theater and the cinema with everyday life, and finally, mourning with art.
