DESCRIPTION

Sandra attends a Renaissance art exhibition. At some point, she get separated from her group and becomes lost. Although she eventually manages to find a still open exit door, she decides to stay in the museum for the night. Inside, she meets a mysterious man, with whom she establishes an ambiguous relation. Soon, she accuses him of rape. However, the true protagonist of The Conviction is the prosecutor in her case (brilliant performance by Andrzej Seweryn). The prosecutor, fascinated with the case, will have to face his own difficulties in relations with women, especially with his wife Monica (Grażyna Szapołowska).

Before the projection of The Conviction, we invite you to watch a short film La Déclaration from 1982, starring Andrzej Seweryn and directed by André Waksman.
