DESCRIPTION
A documentary directed by Michał Tkaczyński tells the story of three Polish women of Jewish origin who survived the horror of World War II and the Holocaust. Already in childhood each of the characters had to ask herself about the meaning of life, the role of God in it and verify their identity. At some point the girls’ fate was changed by Poles who, risking their own lives, saved them from the threatening doom. „But I Saw It All Anyway…” also looks at the role of priests and the Catholic Church in saving Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto and at spiritual and custom-related dilemmas among those members of the Jewish community who decided to change their religion and become baptized during the war.
