Permeated by moral anxiety, a film which premiered shortly before the declaration of martial law in Poland. The protagonist, a young architect, Miś, goes out on the street one day carrying a banner reading “Technical college graduate looking for a job without compromises” and is quickly arrested and detained. While in detention, he reflects back on the recent few years of his life. His story of a residential estate project designed by him and his friends to include a swimming pool, kindergarten, cinema and crèche, then reduced to bare blocks of flats after corrections by the authorities, shows the aching social and political issues of those times in a nutshell. A bitter drama from Zaorski about attempts to stay true to own ideals amid the commonplace conformity.
