DESCRIPTION
The quiet life of two intellectuals living in Paris—Georges, a literary TV program host (Daniel Auteuil) and Anne, a publishing house employee (Juliette Binoche)—is unexpectedly disturbed when they start to receive anonymous tapes. The recordings show the façade of their house registered by a camera unspotted by any passers-by. The trail will lead Georges to the house of Majid, a son of Algerian immigrants, who used to work for his parents. The meeting with Majid will make Georges relive painful memories and confront his repressed feeling of guilt. Hidden, one of the most ambitious films by Michael Haneke, deals with European wellbeing through a quasi-detective story.
