DESCRIPTION

An exquisite farce set in the world of bourgeoisie. Janet throws a house party for her closest friends to celebrate her promotion to Minister of Health in the British government. The guests include the sarcastic April and her husband Gottfried, an advocate of natural medicine; an emancipated lesbian couple—Martha and Jinny, over a dozen years her junior; an oddly nervous banker Tom, who starts the party with snorting a line of cocaine in the toiler. He sits in the middle of the room, apathetic and silent, sipping on his wine and sometimes playing some eccentric music from a vinyl record. The tension escalates.
