DESCRIPTION
Elegant yet ruthless adaptation of Elfride Jelinek’s novel. Erika Kohut (Isabelle Huppert) is a piano teacher at a music conservatory in Vienna. Despite being in her forties, she still lives with her dominant mother, with whom she maintains a toxic relationship. Gradually, her intimate life and suppressed sexuality are revealed: Erika regularly visits adult video booths and takes delight in various fetishes. One day, she meets Walter Klemmer, a handsome student who wishes to become her tutee. Fascinated with each other, the couple will be bound by something more than love of the works of Schumann and Schubert.
