DESCRIPTION
“The Sign” is a short film based on the 2004 play by Gerald Sibleyras. The film's action takes place in one of the tenement houses in Warsaw. The new tenants moved there - Zarębscy. One day, Zarębski returns from work and notes in the lift an insulting message directed at him. He is trying to prove justice at all costs and to find out who is behind the sign in the lift. Although his neighbors do not like his activity, he doesn’t let it down.
DIRECTOR
Joanna Szymańska has a number of thematic etudes as well as several shorts. is a laureate of awards and distinctions, including such festivals as: Up to 21, ŻubrOffka, Well Twisted Films, Tofifest, QL festival and many more. In November 2015, at the 9th Offeliada Film Festival, Joanna Szymańska was awarded for the film “Czech error” in her directing. She won the Offelia Prize – the Main Festival Prize in the "Story" category and the Special Jury Prize of the Association “Ośla Bench” – organizer of the Festival. Currently she's a student at the Warsaw Film School.
